Let’s say you wanted to know what Rod Stewart was all about. So you ran out and grabbed a copy of one of his shitty standards records from the late 2000s. You took it home, listened to it once, buried it in your backyard with some other things you hope nobody will ever find vowed to God, yourself and those you love that you would never listen to Rod Stewart again.
Well that would be a damn shame because he made some truly amazing records in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s.
With your Monday Starter Kit, you’ll know exactly where to start with the artist of the week. Intimidated by the enormity of Frank Zappa’s catalogue? Not sure how to handle the Velvet Underground? Hoping to hear that one Randy Newman album that will allow you to make a snap judgment?
Well hopefully we’ll get around to all of them. Tune in at the start of every week for a new artist. We’ll hit you with the albums and tunes that you simply can’t go another day without knowing.
